Creating Smarter Lab Spaces for Cutting-Edge Research.
Albrayco is a second-generation, family-run company with a reputation built on 70+ years of laboratory construction expertise. Based in Cromwell, CT, we service the entire New England region and Mid-Atlantic corridor, including clients in Boston, Worcester, Lowell, New Haven, Stamford, Providence, Portland, and beyond.
Our specialty is lab infrastructure—we don’t supply test tubes or pipettes, we design and build the environments where science happens. From casework and phenolic cabinetry to chemical-resistant countertops and ventilation systems, we partner with top-tier suppliers and tailor each installation to our client’s needs.
Albrayco supports a wide range of industries: biotech startups, pharma giants, high schools and universities, R&D facilities, and manufacturing companies with critical QA/QC labs. Our Specialties
Woodworking is one of Albrayco’s key specialties, particularly in the custom fabrication and installation of wood and laminate lab cabinetry. Our team has extensive experience working with suppliers like Connecticut Casework Specialists to deliver precision-built casework that not only meets functional laboratory requirements but also offers aesthetic warmth and design flexibility. Whether it’s hardwood veneer for a university science wing or durable laminate for a high-traffic prep space, our woodworking expertise ensures every piece is crafted and installed with attention to detail, quality, and long-term performance.
Metal casework is a core component of Albrayco’s lab outfitting capabilities, ideal for environments that require strength, durability, and chemical resistance. We work with trusted manufacturers like SteelSentry to supply and install high-quality steel cabinets, benches, and modular systems built to withstand the demands of pharmaceutical, biotech, and industrial laboratories. Whether the need is for powder-coated steel, stainless steel, or modular lab furniture, our team ensures every piece is installed with precision and built to perform in even the most demanding lab settings.
Phenolic casework is an excellent solution for laboratories requiring exceptional chemical resistance, durability, and low maintenance. Albrayco proudly installs phenolic systems from trusted suppliers like BMT Nelson, delivering high-performance cabinetry ideal for wet labs, cleanrooms, and corrosive environments. Phenolic resin panels are non-porous, easy to clean, and resistant to moisture and harsh chemicals—making them a popular choice for biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic lab settings. Our team ensures each installation is handled with precision to meet both functional needs and long-term reliability.
Albrayco specializes in the installation of chemical- and heat-resistant countertops designed to withstand the toughest lab environments. We work with top suppliers like JHC Fabrication to provide surfaces made from epoxy resin, phenolic resin, and other lab-grade materials that offer superior resistance to spills, high temperatures, and heavy use. These countertops are ideal for chemistry labs, pharmaceutical R&D, and quality control settings where durability and safety are critical. Every installation is custom-fit and built to meet the demands of your lab’s daily operations while ensuring compliance and longevity.
Albrayco offers expert installation of fume hoods and laboratory ventilation systems, a critical component in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. Whether you’re designing a new lab or upgrading existing infrastructure, we ensure your space is equipped with the right containment and airflow solutions to meet your operational and regulatory needs.
We work with trusted manufacturers to supply and install a full range of ducted and ductless fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, canopy hoods, and specialty enclosures. These systems are designed to protect lab personnel from hazardous fumes, vapors, and particulates, while also ensuring that sensitive materials are handled in a controlled, contamination-free environment.
Our team takes a tailored approach to ventilation planning, accounting for the lab’s layout, equipment, work processes, and exhaust routing to optimize airflow and efficiency. Every installation is performed by OSHA-certified professionals and followed by third-party certification to confirm performance and compliance with industry standards, including ASHRAE 110, SEFA, and NFPA guidelines.
Whether you’re outfitting a biotech cleanroom, academic chemistry lab, or pharmaceutical testing facility, Albrayco delivers precision installation and dependable support to keep your team protected and your lab running smoothly.
Albrayco installs durable, lab-grade storage systems designed to meet the demands of scientific environments. We offer chemical cabinets, flammable storage, locking units, and custom shelving built from materials like stainless steel, phenolic, and powder-coated steel.
Whether you need secure storage for reagents, mobile units for flexibility, or integrated cabinetry for daily supplies, we deliver tailored solutions that support safety, organization, and compliance. Every system is installed with precision and designed to seamlessly match your lab’s workflow and layout.
